Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
If components were properly matched, the dome of the piston will give an indication of what head was used.
The endoscope will also be able to look into intake and exhaust ports which will show if they are castings that have been left of if they were worked.
Also, the shape of the intake port will be a clue. I have seen wrong pistons used with heads, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule if SE parts were all bolted on.
Looks like SE Forged 1550 High Compression Pistons. Head numbers are useless. I am guessing when we see the chamber and port it is the original SE Performance head. It has the 5/16 valves.
**Chamber pic didn't originally show up but I see it now. If they say "Screamin" Eagle" on the head, they are the ones I stated above.
