Angry Burning Right Calve

So I have a 2019 Road Glide Special I bought new in October 2019. It wasn't until a a couple months ago my right calf started to burn, so much so that I received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on a specific area on my right calve. Had Fort Bragg HD conduct an inspection and found the manufacturer had placed a 107 piston in my 114. They told me this was the reason for the heat and replaced the piston however, it did not solve the issue and now I am being told they are not going to do anything else, even though I sent them pictures and had other riders with me verify. What Next?

First off is the bike still within the warranty period? Do you have an extended warranty? If not, the you will have to pay the repairs yourself.does your front exhaust have a heat shield? Are you wearing pants or shorts when you are getting burned?

Something smells funny. It would take a major scru up for the factory to put the wrong piston in. And….it wouldn’t fit properly without oversized rings…which they wouldn’t have….and…you wouldn’t get proper compression…and you’d hear it wiggle…even if only a few 1000ths.

And yeah..the exhaust is hot.

Tell your dealer he’s full of sheit.

It is absolutely impossible for someone to get 3rd degree burns riding a bike.

Definition of third-degree burn

: a severe burn characterized by destruction of the skin through its deeper layers and possibly into underlying tissues, loss of fluid, and sometimes shock.

Extremely difficult to get 2nd degree burns that way too. Any sane human being would have pulled over the the side of the road and got off the bike swearing to beat the band long before they had any significant 2nd degree burns.

I smell a troll!

I just throw out the questions as a dealership service technician and see what answers I get if any.

That's a 3.937" piston in a 4.016" hole. That's well over a 1/16" difference. No way that ever ran. Ever.

And would the dealer have actually stripped down the motor to make the impossible discovery?

Someone is just having fun with us.
