More information please. Model and year would help as would a picture. The clutch cable does not connect to the "primary" but is conneced to the clutch release cover on the "brake" or right side of the bike. Is that what you are referring to?

Doesn't the clutch cable go in the primary on a Sportster?

Yeah but I must have missed the part where the OP says he is working on a Sportster. I guess I could have assumed but decided to ask for more information instead just to be sure.

Just a pet peave of mine. JMHO but someone posting a question should include model and year at a minimum; adding any modifications is a plus. My post was more of a poke a the OP than anything else.

Post pictures.

Welcome from North Beach, FL., USA!

Just in case you have not done both of these two important items!

Be sure to add an Avatar of your favorite shot in the USER set up for the small picture others will see in the top left corner of your post with your USER name.

And most importantly a Signature Line in your USER set up for your bike model, year, and all the letters that Harley recognizes it with that others see at the bottom.

This enables others to know your exact model if you ever ask a question or another member interested in it may ask you a question about it.

Your all set.... Enjoy the ride! ______________
