I have an 08 ElectraGlide FLHTC and I had been wondering why the EITMS did not work. My owners manual states that this system is installed on 08 and newer touring models. I went to a local dealer mechanic who was busy but came out to quickly look at my bike. He was looking down in front of the engine and said nope, you do not have the system incorporated into your bike. So I'm wondering what would be the indication if I did have this system and can it be added on? Thanks.

 

I believe it can be added with the digital technician at the dealer to the 08s...its on my cvo road king standard but I think they made it an option in 08. To check if you have it there's a procedure with the throttle with the ignition switch on ,kill switch on but bike not running, you roll the throttle forward that activates or deactivates it. I've only turned mine off once so that might not be exactly correct but it should be in your manual.
