Hello,
Does anyone have an idea what this noise is about?
Fluids all good, Plug wires fine, plugs fine, sounds is constant whether the EITMS on or off, sound is constant whether clutch is engaged or not.
Only notice it at idle. Idle is set at 1050 rpm's
I may be well out of my league, however, from the picture you have posted I am looking at a Haden tensioner as you say. If so, look at how far the chain is sitting down into the tensioner shoe itself. The shoe on the tensioner system looks to be worn down. The middle of the chain is sitting inside the tensioner shoe, not riding on top of it. Also, check inside the primary case to see if there are witness marks of the chain hitting the top inside of the case,
My best guess is the chain tensioner shoe is worn therefore not putting enough tension on the chain to keep it tight////. If you look really close, there are also what seems to be witness marks that the starter ring gear has contacted the inside of the primary case, this is also a concern that needs attention as a bearing may also be on the way out, and/or the splines on the backside of the clutch assembly may be starting to fret. Hope this helps..................
