Fuel pump problem?
I have a 98 Road King with a 2008 S&S engine. Problems started last month. When the bike is parked in the sun when it’s hot outside, the fuel pump acts up. I hit the run switch and instead of the buzzing noise for priming the engine I sometimes get a faint kind chattering noise or nothing at all. If I get the faint noise the bike fires up but then sputters back fires and stalls. If I get no noise after I hit the run switch the bike won’t start. Once I push my bike into the shade and let it cool off for a few hours it starts right up and runs fine.
I had the fuel pump replaced last year. I had the circuit breaker replaced last week. All fuses look good. Thanks for any advice
