A couple of questions;
how do you diagnose to see if a stator is working?
Assuming I can get a multi-tool reader , where should I test and what should I test for?
How big a job is that to do on a 1999 Softail Evo engine.
Can you get off brands and which would be preferable, or not preferable.

What is the lifespan of these?
Mine's a 99 and it just went , so there's 22 years on it.
Apparently there's no warning on them, they just go and that's it. Or is it?
