89 Softail Springer starts and dies
I have a 89 softail 1340 that will start easily run for 10-45 seconds then dies, like I turn off the ignition switch. I was going to go on a ride fired it up it died and I continued this pattern for 30 mins or so and gave up. and now I'm here. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

One thing that comes to mind is your carb is fuel starved. It starts up fine, the bowl runs dry and you're down. The bowl slowly fills and you can try again. You could undo the fuel line from the carb and check if you have free flowing gas. If not, you could look for obstructions.
