Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
I am finishing up increasing the engine displacement from factor 96" to a 103". I am assuming that something needs to be done as the ecm should be programmed for a 96" engine. Is this where a fuel Commander comes in? Do I just take the bike to Harley for them to what I think is called remapping?
No such thing as a Fuel Commander; Power Commander, yes but old stuff; you need a flash tuner like Powervision or TTS Mastertune.
Do not take the bike to the dealer for a tune. Look for a dyno tuner in you area; visit the shop, talk to owners that have had their bikes tuned there and, if all checks out, get the bike tuned there. You may need to purchase a fuel management system or if the tuner uses the Powervision, you may need to purchase a "license" which eliminates the need to purchase software/hardware.
Fuel Moto can do what others have posted but a map, yeah, even a Fuel Moto map, falls short of a dyno tune. JMHO.
