Default S&S M8 cam plate and oil pump

Thinking about going with S&S camplate and oil pump on my 18 Roadglide. If you've used it how do you like it and has anyone had any problems with this setup.

Apples/oranges = TC/M8, but I've run my S&S cam plate and oil pump combo in my 14 SGS for about 98,000 miles now, took it all apart a few weeks ago for an upper end rebuild, and the bushings on the cam plate were barely worn as were the internals on the pump. I put the whole thing back in until it actually needs attention and I'm not quite sure when that might be...........

Why not use the latest version of the OEM pump, and keep the original cam plate?

200 bucks vs 800 bucks...

I am actually considering that option as well. I am puttung in a S&S 475 cam while I've got it apart. I was actually looking at the latest version Harley pump along with Feulings oe+ cam plate or the S&S pump and plate. Just trying to get some feedback on the S&S from those that have run it.

I have the S&S oil pump and cam plate on both my 22 street bob stage 2 and my 23 road king 128. 14000 miles and no problems.

NOTE: you will need the gasket for the back of the oil pump that S&S doesn't supply.
