Tapping sounds when accelerating 2008 roadglide
I have a 2008 Road Glide. The head gasket and base gaskets were replaced probably 6 months ago. Today I went on a 75 mile ride everything was good. I Parked the bike at home and shortly after jumped on it to run down to the gas station. On my short ride to the store I noticed a metallic like tapping sound when I accelerate. At idle no odd noise at all or in neutral if you rev it up no noise only when accelerating. So of course I continued to ride around and try and listen and see if I could pinpoint where the noise is coming from. My best guess is almost sounds like coming from around the air intake area. No engine light or any change in performance just an annoying noise. Bike has 65k miles. Any tips of what to maybe check before I have to take it to the local dealer? Thanks in advance!!
