Well not worried too much about fuel mileage as much as raw fuel oder.
I
True. But I also think you need solid evidence. People think and notice lots of things, that may or may not be true

Gas mileage is one of those things that folks sometimes do not think about variables.
For example:
Measuring amount filled...the click from pump is useless...one pump could happen differently when comparing two different pumps.
Going down hill for a long time.
Going up hill for a long time.
High speed riding.
Stop and go traffic.
Single or two up riding.
Type of fuel used..Non-ethanol can sometimes get you a little extra mileage.
*Look up the expected mileage for that year...would not be surprised if it is something like 41 or 42 mpg expected.
Good point but I usually don't see a big difference unless really exterme.
If something was wrong and bad enough that another rider could smell fuel then you'd be getting way worse than 36mpg in my opinion. How you ride is such an enormous factor. On both my bikes I usually only get about 25mpg because I'm smashing the throttle and cruising 70-100 regularly on the highway. If I just limped along at 65 I'd probably get 40mpg. It's not about the miles it's about the smiles. Just smash the throttle and don't worry about it.
