Default Cams

Howdy all, I have a 2010 FXD Superglide. Low mileage stock 96 with V&H HS slip ons, Arlen Ness Stage 1 intake, and FP3 tuner. I finally decided on cams. After some research and talking to fuel moto, the recommended Woods 222 cams. Anyone with a Dyna running these cams. How do you like them and was this a good decision for a single rider in town along with highway riding?

They’re good for low down and mid range so more commonly used in heavier touring bikes

You’d get the same bump with Andrews 48 cam

I prefer a slightly more revvy cam in a dyna, like a se204 or wood 5-6

Dang it, I already purchased the 222's along with lifters, and adjustable pushrods. I hope they perform better than stock

If after talking with Fuelmoto and that’s what they recommended, I would trust their judgment. They are very good at what they do with excellent after sale service. If you bought your cams thru them they will look after you and likely even provide a tuning map for the FP3 based on your cams and current mods on your bike.

Thank you for the response. You know how it is, purchases like this you sometimes second guess whether or not you made the right choice. Then again, anything should be an improvement over the stock cams.

oh I know! I couldn’t decide between the Andrews 48 and the woods 222. The Andrews were easier to get for me and a little less expensive and are very similar in performance.
I think you’ll like your choice.

I have read a lot of reviews that say the Andrews 48 and Woods 222 are pretty similar. Thank you again for your responses. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I had the Wood 222 cams years ago before I bumped up to a 110. It's a good choice, you won't be disappointed.
