I just replaced my lifters and installed adjustable pushrods and am now installing some "quick release" (or whatever they're called) pushrod covers. However, there aren't any instructions. I have a question about the two different washers that come with the kit (see pic). Which washer goes where?
Could that kit be for an Evo? IIRC, Evo pushrod covers use a washer at the top and bottom of the cover where they seat into the tappet blocks and the cylinder head but there should be 8 washers; 2 at each tube.
Those definitely appear to be for an Evo motor.. The larger diameter flat is a washer that has one side that's machined and faces up when placed in the lifter block Which is under the print #9 in the picture above.. As for the other washer, that goes under the spring #5 as in the picture above which is #6 and helps to apply proper pressure on the o-ring for the lower half of the pushrod tubes.
