Yamabond #4 is what I've used in the past. Three Bond 1211 is the same product as far as I can tell.
Never mind what Rounders is posting as he is here just to confuse and agitate folks.

Permatex 518 is what I recommend, it is an anerobic sealant (it only cures in the absence of air).

It will not cure until the parts are joined together, so any stuff that gets into the cases will dissolve when oil hits it and go out with the next oil change, no chance for it to cure in little bits to clog up any passageways.

Use an anerobic sealant! The Permatex 518 as mentioned above is a perfect choice.

You know, I always thought about that. I don't like the fact that Yamabond never really hardens.. As a Steam fitter I've used Permatex a lot.. Just need to let it cure properly.. But the whole thing there is that it's a bitch to get it back apart if repairs are necessary..
My Evo was put together with Yamabond and is now seeping... Another project someday down the road.

We all have our "go to" ... I've done many two stroke and four stroke ( several HD's ) and have never had a seeper / leaker ... Might not ever do another one but if I do I'll ( more than likely ) use the Yamabond ":>)
