Timing issue?
07 street glide 96 twin cam
Had to replace some sheared off exhaust studs which required me taking the head off to take to a machine shop. Put everything back together per the service manual to my best ability, started it just now and it’s not running right. Sounds kind of doggy if that makes sense and power is non existent when I get on the throttle. I can take it around the block and it’ll run and move but like I said it sounds bogged down and when I twist the throttle there is very little response. Hopefully this video of it running will load

it kind of sounds like its only hitting on one cylinder.
do you have adjustable pushrods?
did you reassemble with the cams for that cylinder on the base circle?
do you have spark at the plug?
do a compression test and make sure that you have compression on both cylinders.
do these tests and report back for the next step.

After searching YouTube the noise resembles what others are saying is noise coming from the lifters. Note: I never removed the lifters during disassembly, I just needed to remove the heads to be able to get them to a machine shop so the lifters stayed put.

gosh that would make sense too. Service manual didn’t say anything about allowing lifters time to bleed so on the front cylinder I snugged rocker arm bolts 1/4 turn at a time in the proper torque sequence and then went right to torqueing to spec. By the time I got to the rear cylinder I had read about needing to be able to rotate the pushrods. Snug rocker arm bolts till the pushrods don’t spin, walk away for 20 mins, snug, walk away, repeat, then torque once seated.
Stock pushrods
Did my best to establish base circle, maybe not perfect but about as darn close as I could get it.
Could my problems be stemming from the front cylinder, too much tension on pushrods/lifters?

Do you have the Factory HD Service Manual, or something like a Clymer manual?
