Default Quality Tools

Hi all-
Shopping for the specialty tools to remove/replace the cam bearings on a 103 Twin Cam. Wondering if specifically the Jim's tools are worth the money.
Example:
Jim's bearing removal tool $400
V Twin Manufacturing bearing removal tool $80

Appreciate your thoughts.

I’d buy the cheap Amazon kind. It’s not that complicated.

Jims are made in Cali- the Amazon units are shipped to Cali from China.
Another option is Georges Garage- Made in USA, cheaper than Jims

Fow the guy only doing a few a year, the stuff from George's Garage is great!!! i have some of it myself and no issues.
the chinese/amazon ebay stuff is hit or miss, i've seeen some of it, but it wouldn't use it.

i usually make all of my tools and then throw into a box for later date.

most tools are a no biggy, sometimes a cheap hf with some mods work fine also.

I bought a set of the Jims bearing tools 30 years ago for my 1989 Harley ElectraGlide. They still work on my 2019 Harley ElectraGlide. I long forgot what they cost me then.

Some tasks (bearing pullers for one) just need a quality tool. Consider what occurs should that cheap tool fail?

I appreciate high quality tools, but if George is selling high "enough" quality tools for several hundred dollars less than Jim, I think I'll order from George.
Thanks to all who responded.

Less money because it would be hard to believe JIMS has a lower overhead than George.

If a onetime use, I would find used or cheap … hell I used a blind hole puller and seal setter.
