2000 Road King 103 TC swap
First post in the forums here, and i just had a question. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2000 Road king without the engine and transmission pretty cheap. Also a 2014 103 and 6 speed transmission and wiring harness off of a triglide. My question is if i have the engine transmission and wiring harness off of the 2014 bike what all would be needed to swap it into the 2000 frame. Thanks in advance

If the triglide used the same form factor as a later FL bikes then yes it will work, you also need the later model primary/ clutch (and cable). You will need to use the 2000 wiring harness but use the regulator off the later bike. The big issue will be if the 2000 has magneti merrelli EFI. That may be a problem and it would be best to convert to carb or later efi(more work). You will need a swingarm conversion kit as the tranny uses a 3/4 pivot shaft on the later tranny and the 2000 swingarm is setup for 5/8.
