Oil leak from rocker box
I started noticing a oil leak from the right rear of my rear cylinder around 400 miles ago. It was really slow at first maybe a drop after a ride but really increased last week to the point of blowing on the right saddle bag at highway speeds. I tore it apart yesterday and replaced the rocker box and cover gaskets with Cometic brand gaskets. These gaskets were aluminum I believe and the ones I replaced were a fiber type, James was the brand I believe. These are the original rockers boxes for my 2001 FLHT that were chrome plated last winter. After replacing the gaskets I took the bike for a short ride and my leak is still there and looks to be getting worse. I did a visual check and my leak is coming from the pushrod side and I can slide a .005 feeler gauge under the rocker box right above the pushrod tubes. Is it possible I have a warped rocker box? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
