Default Engine shutdown durning cold weather operation

I have a 2002 Road King Classic fuel injected. Since the air temperature has decreased recently, I am having issues with the operation of my bike. When the outside air temperature reaches below 50 degrees my bike will start fine, but then shutdown a couple minutes after started. The check engine light comes on momentarily then the engine will shut down. I can then restart the bike but it still goes through the same issues. If the outside air temperature is 60 degrees or higher, I can operate the bike with no issues. In July I had the 20k mile service completed along with a new battery.

Any suggestions on why my Road King would be operating this way?
