Guys got an engine oil leak that I can't locate. Maybe better to describe it as an engine oil flow. Just changed drive belt on the leak started after that so assume primary drive and restripped and checked. Further investigation revealed engine oil. It is getting onto the drive belt and drive area but there does not appear to be any place for engine oil to get into there. Have checked all hoses, oil filter, breather etc. Getting desparate.

Have you checked the main crankshaft seal behind the rotor? That's the first thing to check. Possibly damaged or worn out. That would for sure end up blowing oil onto the belt and pulley.

How many of the oil seals have you replaced? There is also one hiding behind the front pulley. Having owned my 1990 bike from new I would replace every one, if you haven't done so yet.

You should be getting good at it. I admit to having to take more than 1 shot at a problem myself. Make sure the new belt isn't too tight. I wish you luck this time.
Patience is a prerequisite for wrenching on an old Harley.

While you're in there ya might wanna take a look at the machine screws that are holding the stator in place. Not sure if Evos had the same problem, but on Shovels those screws could go all the way through and oil would seep out of the screw hole...

From the age of your bike I'm gonna say it is the seal around the starter shaft. That is between the back inner primary and transmission. Real booger to replace. Time ANC parts to remove. Got a fxst 87 gad zt leak same way ended up being that.
