Anyone know the OEM # for the front (engine, left side) oil seal? The one that goes behind the stator. When I look it up I either get 971 different items or one that I can't tell from the pic if it's the engine oil seal or the transmission oil seal as both are labeled main shaft oil seals. I believe it is this one : https://www.denniskirk.com/genuine-j...prd/H14206.sku but not sure. J&P has them but since they are S&S I have to wait and call or the price. DK says the OEM # is 12013A.
My bike has been sitting with the primary off for 6 months and fluid is still coming out from behind the stator plate. Thought at first it was primary fluid weeping out, but after 6 months it should be bone dry.
Yep that looks like it.
It's the sprocket shaft seal outside the sprocket shaft spacer in Harley speak.
Face it inwards it can go both ways, they seem to work better if placed for a belt drive.
If it's leaking out there, there's a lot of oil in the cases, your check ball valve needs looking at.

OEM#12026B In case anyone needs the number. Dennis Kirk says it won't fit but the book says it's for a 1970-1999 Big Twin. Mine's an 88 motor, so it falls in that category.
