I see the motor co. uses them...Bee hive valve springs. My only experience was a new motor that came with them. broke one at 20,000 plus miles. Lucky me...no other damage. A very prominent top end expert in the East Bay Area (CA) suggested that I go back to the standard set up and gave me the number of a drop in set, which have been working fine. My question is: if they are all that, did I just get stung by chance, or is their failure rate higher?
I run a 100" motor and my pleasure is derived from travelling. !2,000 mile summers are not unusual. Yes...I sometimes travel fast.....lol

We have used a ton of AV&V beehive(progressive wound)springs on top of even aggressive .650" lift cams, at rpms north of 6200 rpms.
Our Stage III, and Stage IV Heads feature them.
Have not seen a failure yet.
I suppose any spring can break, but the reason as to why would be the true culprit.
