Im not sure if its a stock carb or not, but I adjusted the screw that has a cord with a adjusting nut on the end that hangs on the left side of the carb. I thought it was called the idle adjustment screw please correct me if im wrong. I will check the throttle cable adjustments. Thank you for your help.
Showing my age....maybe. They started with the idle-adjustment cable thingy at some point in time. I had a Buell that employed the cable for idle adjustment, but the early CV's had a screw....as I recall.
In any event, you DO NOT set the idle screw to any particular setting. It's set to adjust the idle to the specified/desired idle RPM. The 3/4 out setting is for the idle mixture....the screw under the bowl. If you have a cable or a screw....doesn't matter. It does not have any effect on the mixture....only the amount of air allowed into the intake.
I think you've lost me a little here. The enrichener valve is on the left side of the bike and if you get that out of whack and get the valve lifted off it's seat....that will screw-up the mixture and you'll never get it to idle correctly.
I'm about out of suggestions here. I'd "take it" in if I were you.
