What is the difference between the TC88 and TC96 cylinder heads (Ex:bolt pattern, valve, ect)?

Would replacing the cylinder heads (Stock OEM Harley Davidson) on a 2005 FXD/I, with a later model cylinder head (06'-up) make a difference in performance?

yes, with mild porting (or no porting) the later heads will flow more CFM.the late heads will also accept up to .600" lift cams with the stock springs

also need to use the appropriate intake flange on 99-05 and 06-up heads as they are specific to each head

If looking for more bolt-on power, the 96" head is not going to be a game-changer.
Once ported, both early and late will produce just about the same.
