Back to the heads, I think I've work out a cool drainage route.
The XR1200 rocker covers vent out of the top of the covers instead of via the head and air filter. I think they route it to the swing arm but I don't fancy have the oil vent onto the rear wheel.
I was wondering where I could run the pipe to, e.g. a small catch bottle, the rear of the bike along the fender to the very rear but the Twin Cams may offer a solution.
I don't think the oil spout cover will fit, but they have a NPT (?) fitting on them P/N: 26314-99 which is the working theory. Out the rocker cover, along the frame, back into the transmission via the spout. Stick a t-piece in it somewhere with a mini-air filter. Does the oiling system vent to the air anywhere else?
I understand it's about relieving pressure from the crankcases.

I know a girl who will let me blast her jugs for $10.....
Is that how you relieve pressure?
I was talking about relieving crankcase air pressure, still an unknown quantity.
The covers are in a bath of thinners to remove the H-D silver coating. It seems a lot more resistant than the old black textured stuff that would just peel off looking like sheets of seaweed.
