Default Changing/removing baffles with mm efi

Got my new to me rkc home and it is stupid quiet, I don't like that,. It has Vance and Hines slip ons they look to have removable baffles end caps atleast.

I'm not wanting to start a political debate about loud pipes please.

My question is if I remove or modify the baffles how far off will it throw the efi.
It is a stage II screaming eagle setup.

Any ideas on baffles that keep decent power but sound honestly I'd be fine with straights if it wouldnt kill power and hurt the motor

You need to have some back pressure for the EFI system to work right. That being said I just put a set of dual oval V&H on mine that sound great. I am running a Doebeck tuner that I can dial the system in with. The '96 did not have a tunable ECM.
On my mufflers I can see straight through them and see the baffle ridges along the sides.

Can you hold one up and see daylight through it? No? Remove obstruction, repeat for the other side, mount 'em up and give it a go.

Any air flow change may require tuning changes to get the utmost out of your engine.

Honstly? The best exhaust system will be a "2 into 1" with stepped primaries that are as long as possible, dumping into a HUGE end can. Won't "hurt the motor," either.

Good to know I had Samson trueduals into 3" cans with torque cones on a shovel onece worked pretty good but it wasn't efi or an evo.
As for the 2 into one comment yes I am aware that's best but duals just look so right on a touring bike

Crashone you can see day light but it's a tiny hole though. I got one out but the other is stuck so until I can deal with that I'm dead in the water

Take a large drill bit to it and add some light.
