Default '96 Road King getting there

Fall 2013

Now 2017

Still need to work on the back lights.

Here's a couple of pics of what my bike looked like when I first got it and how it looks today.

Getting there. I don't mind a little chrome. I've got a black light bar coming on a slow boat from China but I figured they're the same as ends up in a Harley shop for less money.
I want to add some kind of extra running light to the rear that will fit in the brighten it up some for night time riding. Open to suggestions.

On another note, has anyone pulled the internals out of the turn signal pods to have them powder coated. Last time I looked at doing that I couldn't figure out how to disassemble them without butchering them. Thanks.

If they are like the ones on a Heritage then you need to get a deep well socket and cut a groove in it for the wires to pass through.

That will allow you to loosen the nut without messing up the wires.
