Evo rear brake caliper; neutral switch
Bike: 1989 FLHTC
Inspect the rear brake caliper bracket when you have your rear wheel off for looseness of brake pads. The pads "hook" onto the bracket, and that area on the bracket gets worn down over the years. It can break off a piece on the bracket, and you lose a brake pad (inner) while riding down the road. Ask me how I know?
I had to rely on e-Bay to buy a used good bracket. You can see the bracket in my hand with broken off piece. Not enough material to allow the "hooks" of the pad to rest on. Got new EBC semi-sintered pads for the rear to see how they work.
The little tip of the neutral switch broke off, so I will be replacing it. If you get the right angle, you can take off the switch with 5/8" open end wrench.
