Ok Life has been in my way working on my bike , found some time today to put the cam bushing in question is, is there a brass bushing that goes in the nose cone for the other end of the cam ,I need one , the one thats there is not doing well at all , might be ebola or some chit like that , but it looks to need replaceing
thanks spanner for the PT # , John jz the can bushing in the case side cam apart ,I did find all the parts , I noticed on gear side of cam the end had had some burn marks from heat & looked the bushing on cam cover has some marks in it so better swap it out
How do these bushings cope with the kind of acid they use for stripping chrome?
I'm about to do so, as the chrome's flaking off under the nose, and thinking of leaving it alloy or powder coating it. Mentally I was prepared to replace it but if I can get away without doing so, I would.
I put a Shovel cam cover in and it bubbled up badly ... I think it was the oil feed pipe rather than the bushes but am not sure.
Thanks.
