A very good bolt in cam. requires nothing else god for 2k -55k rpm and you really shouldn't cruise less than 2200.

I bought my fltr with a ev23. It was fine and like Mr JZ says they a bolt in cam and will make you happy, not super duper elated. They go in easily, reuse the stock rods. Really not too much fuss. I got a hold of a Wood w6 and will say the only, and I mean only one, drawback is the w6 is noisier. It is superior in every other way, seat of my pants tells me so.
Good luck,
Tom

When I was picking a cam, the W6 is a hair over .5 lift, I thought .5 was the limit on bolt in cams? The w6 and the evl3020 have the same duration at 240 with similar overlap, 36v38, but the 3020 is .5, I went 3010 over the 3020 with 234 234 because I wanted more low-mid. When I was reading it looked like everyone with the W6 had headwork done along with pistons and some other mods to boost compression. So the W6 runs fine on an otherwise stock engine?

Just asking, I'm sticking with what I ordered, but do like to understand it all.

EV23 says for heavy bikes, how would it do in something smaller than a bagger, like a fatboy?

Default Think about it.

If you like more lower end and your bike is lighter think how less weight affects the ratio.

There isn't a lot of info out there about it but the s&s 508 is an awesome cam for making a lot of low end torque.

I've never run an Andrews so I can't compare, but ANYTHING is better than a stock n grind!

the W6 runs just fine on a stock engine but is a little soft out of the hole a little bump in compression will fix that problem that's why everyone says it needs more compression

That's what I was thinking. I tend to over think and look too deep sometimes
