New ride need help with an issue or two

Wixom, MI is just up the road from me, less than 10 miles. Cold crappy SE Michigan winter. At least we don't have the record snow fall that we had last year. If you're driving, you'll really love all the potholes. Too many to miss on some stretches of road. And more appearing every day.
Yea, for some reason, I typically get to visit Dearborn this time of year. This is my first trip to Wixom though.. Ironically, as bad as it can be, last year, at -10*, the conditions and feel were much better than the 5* here in Atlanta in the aftermath of the ice storm and power outages.. The roads suck, but you guys do know how to deal with the weather..

Harley offers a "Wiring Diagrams and Electrical Troubleshooting Guide" for various years of bikes. Mine is for 1995/96 All Models (PN 99948-96) if you change the number on the end to -94 it would probably be the one for your year. However I have used it for a lot of years and it has worked every time. Just follow the decision tree and it will lead you to your problem !!! Along with the parts manual, repair manual, you should also have this for your bike if you want to work on it and plan to keep it !! Hope this helps.
