ok after a long phone call with wiseco today I found out I cant get the 19cc or 11:1 domed pistons anymore unless I buy 12 sets for a special run. but the 11:1 pistons were to big for practical purposes and the 10:1 or 12.9cc domed are really to small you have to mill the heads and use .030 just to get the 10:1 they claim. so I want 16.9cc pistons witch would be a bolt on piston for a ev27 or W6 no machine work to the heads needed and uses a stock .045 head gasket to achieve a true 10:1 and if you wanted a bigger cam just use a .030 head gasket and you could put a W8 without milling the heads.
they said they could make them I would still need to buy a minimum of 12 sets so who hear would be interested in something like this.

How much have you been drinking?
Ratio is not that important. Cranking pressure is what matters and is affected by the cam you choose among other factors.
I wouldn't doubt it if I got the last set of 19cc positions. Scott told me they Wiseco wasn't going to be running them anymore which really sucks and yeah you do have bring them down a tick to make them work properly with a w8. It's all a sign of the future for 80" EVO'S. I have a set off 10's,10.5 and now 11's . Hang on to what I have for now but I'm sure someone will come out with similar pistons.

I disagree compression ratio is very important and achieving the proper ratio without milling the heads and putting a smaller head gasket on it should make it a lot easier for the shade tree mechanics to make power on a budget
