Me too! I took advantage of our heat wave (40 degrees) last weekend to start tearing mine down. I had my garage door open all day too, LOL!

Took the bike up and down the street this afternoon and all seemed good; shifted up and down into all 5 gears ok. Pulled back into the driveway and spent time fixing the backlgiht on the gas gauge, re-doing my saddlebag mounts, and attached the fairing and windshield. Took a shower and got cleaned up, then ventured out beyond my street. It's now having trouble upshifting at all. Only went maybe 2 blocks and turned around. Hmmm. Will double-check the fluid level in a bit...time to walk away and regroup.

this is my 5 speed twinky, they did away with any shift pawl adjustments. But the symptoms are spot on for that diagnosis.

it can still be off a little there still is a centering pin in there its just not as easy to correct. but your problem is probably due to having new and old parts in there give it a few rides it should come out of it. I see this all the time when you remove and reinstall the drum and forks. sometimes it takes a little while for them to find there original happy spot.

thanks Dale, that makes me feel a bit better; wondered about everything finding its own new "sweet spot ". Just hate having the motor wanting to run, but stuck in 1st gear. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
