I have been a forum member for some time now and frequent visotor to the Evo Classic Models forum for quite some time as well.
I got to thinking that it has been about a year since I bought this bike and when I saw that it was one year ago today I brought home a '98 FXDS, I thought I'd put up a pic and start with the questions!
Over that year I have read many posts and enjoyed the humor and ribbing that goes on here, along with all of the knowledge sharing.
I have attached a pic of the bike the day I brought it home.
I have done some stuff to it already.........just simple stuff like changing bars & seat, removing some stuff, etc. but plan to get into it a bit more some time soon, so I'll be looking for help and encouragement.

Air/Fuel in, Air/Fuel out. Stock EVO's were strangled by he EPA. Free flowing air cleaner, better exhaust (not necessarily louder), cam and possibly ignition upgrade. Get the carb tuned, and you'll think you're riding a different motorcycle.

Sounds like a good plan.
I'll be checking out the ignition pretty soon as I've recently noticed some glue like, sticky crap drooling out of the nose cone. Not exactly sure what is going on here but I'm thinking it's not good and may have something to do with the occasional miss that seems to be gettin' worse.

If the ignition pick up I pulled out of my 1997 Heritage will work in your bike,
I'm more than happy to send it your way. That's the way things roll in the EVO section.
