This is how I installed a Capt Itch on my '90, punched two holes to fit two each 1/4" lockwashers as spacers, which is a not as thick as the leather, so it compresses some to hold the leather snug but still tightens down solid.

I agree it being a "tour glide" its special, I hope your happy with what you get for it and I am sure whom ever comes looking for that bike will know what it is and what its worth.

I can't believe that it will take more than about 3 minutes to sell. Only wish I was in a better position to ****** it up myself. Next fall I'll com'n gitt'er.

It is a more realistic price than a lot of bikes on CL, but it is still on the high end of what an older touring bike will sell for in the south...may have to put it on ebay.
