Screaming Eagle or Dynatek 2000 ignition module

Screaming Eagle or Dynatek 2000 ignition module
Question for EVO gurus, my buddy is offering me his Screaming Eagle ignition module 32632-96 (8 pin). This came from his 883 and i want to verify if this is compatible to my 96 EVO 1340 Softail (also a 8 pin)?
On this note, i know that investing in an aftermarket is more bang for the buck. are these even the right part numbers for my bike? Anybody had a comparison with these modules:
1. HD SE: 32632-96
2. Dyna 2000: DD2000-HD2E8P

Pretty sure the Sportster ignition module won't work on a big twin. As far as big twin modules for Evo's, I have a few friends that work for Dynatek and they made the modules for all HD's even the Screaming Eagle ones.

It'll work, but it has more advance (5 degrees more) and a 6800 rev limiter, which you probably don't want to bounce off of too many times. So says Google....
I'd spend a couple of bucks and get a correct, adjustable ignition.

I have run both and I think the Dynatek is a little bit better.
At least the bike idles better with the Dynatek.
That said if you are getting the Screaming Eagle for free I would try that first and see how you like it.
I ran a Screaming Eagle for years and I don't have a problem with them.

That just means it has a quicker advance curve.

Yeah, for free, I would try it too. Especially on a lighter bike, it will probably be pretty good.

If you run it I'd run higher octane for the added advance produced with module. Especially if your bike already has higher compression than stock.
