Drive belt squeel

hELLO ALL,MY 97' RK has a pretty loud squeel from the drive belt on decell in all gears but its worse be fore complete warm-up.Do you guys think this is a too loose or tihht situation?Its lined up and on center but the noise is getting on my nerves.Thanks,Skip

Also check wheel alignment, it may be rubbing on one side or the other of the rear pulley.

I had a belt squeal on my flht.
I checked everything and nothing would fix it.
It turned out to be my drive pulley.

Either too loose (worse when cold), or an out of round rear pulley (I've experienced both over the years).

Had same issue, dry graphite spray will help you out ,treat it a few times.(Napa). As far as tension goes, adjust belt to specs not sound. Mine squealed on acceleration, opposite of yours, good luck....

Drive belt should run on the inside going forward, outside going back. How many miles on the belt and pulleys.
If the chrome is wore off the rear pully or starting to chip off it is wore out and will squeek.
