Your year may be different yet?

I went through jpcycles for the brake lines. I had to order a kit to convert over to the stainless braided lines and then had to order a separate +6" upper hose, as they do not offer the kit with the longer hose. Kinda stupid!

If you go through Motion Pro make sure you call them and have them give you the specific P/N's for your year with a SuperE. Then have them double check and verify them again. They gave the wrong P/N# on one of the throttle cables, and I then again had to order another one. Needless to say it was a bit of a fiasco. With a few returns and such. I now have 2 extra sets of +6" throttle cables that will not work on my ride (1 set stainless braided, 1 set black nylon), along with a Black nylon +6" clutch cable, which I can use if needed. You should also consider and bottle of cable lube, and a lube tool.

Something else to note is that although items get purchased from the Motion Pro website, they are not shipped directly from them. They use a network of 3rd party vendors, and use their inventory on the shelves for shipping and fulfilling orders. So my returns had to be worked through the vendor, not Motion Pro. They have a good product, just don't care for how they do their business.
FWIW I never had any problems with Barnett cables.
The only thing you have to worry about is getting cables for the right year.
Just after '95 they went to a different connection at the handlebar switch housing.

I hear ya brother. The FSM is invaluable and a necessity. But the parts manual, while its nice to have, all those p/n's can be got online at sites with those said microphiches. To be honest I have had mine about a month and have only thumbed through it. I have yet to actually need it. So to me that's $25 well spent.

What the paper parts manual has that you can't get online is the length and thread pitch of each bolt and the size of the washers.

That has been useful to me on many occasions.

The nice thing about Home Depot is that their bolts cost about 10% of what the bolts at Harley do!!!!

That's very handy for sure. I have a good eye for threads myself. I work in industry and deal with thread pitch daily. Tooting my own horn here, lol.

Believe me that is a perishable skill!!!!
When I was in the Navy I could do it too along with looking at a bolt and being able to tell what wrench it took.

I can't do either anymore.

Thank you everyone for the info and lively conversation. I wound up getting the clutch and throttle cables from Barnett and the brake lines from an on line dealer. I actually found the extension harness for my year on ebay for $20 so that was a bargain. The only hiccup was the company i bought the first bars from (name withheld to protect the guilty) sent me the wrong bars. They were supposed to be dimpled and they were not. so i had to send them back and waiting on the new correct bars. Also downloaded the manual for $7. It was enough info for now, I will try and find a hard copy at some point in the near future.
