Default 50

turned 50 in may. My wife has many physical issues so we got her first bike converted to a trike. I rode it once and it is the way I will go when I find it difficult to hold my bike up or push it backwards. The wife's trike was at the dealer for it's first service and an older gent saw it begged the owner of the dealership for info. As the bike was converted at another dealer they have no info on the conversion. The dealer gave me a call asked if it would be alright for him to give the fellow my number.Long story short. the fellow has all the info he needed to convert his softy to a trike at 80 he still is on 2 wheels but thinks he is getting too old to handle two wheels but too young to quit riding. So I guess if you think you can you will. I see a good 40 more years ahead for me.

Dad turned 63 today, he left last Friday on the bike headed west and will have just under 7500 miles on his 14 day vacation. With any hope i'll be able to follow his foot steps into the golden years.

I rode with a guy on Saturday that's 78. He rode the crap out of that Heritage. That's how I "plan" to do it. My wife has a trike. It's OK, not as good as two up to me. When I start needing a trike I'm cashing in. There's a bunch of us old farts that meet for breakfast and then ride all day. What I have found is that the guys who eat right and stay healthy ride up to about 80 or so. That would give me a couple more decades..but.. I have known a few of them over the years to get killed in crashes to. All of them were the riders fault. In 1983 my buddy was killed right in front of me on a Honda Interceptor. He was running 75 in a 25 and a car pulled out in front of him. He nailed the car, went over it and hit the pavement. Then another car ran over him. That left an impression. A motorcycle crash is an ugly death.
