Couldn't wait until Monday so I jumped on the bike and went to go see my tanks after drying and I must say I got the WOW factor I was hoping for. Couldn't ask for better job, a little normal orange peel that will disappear after wet sand and buff. Here's a pic in the sun.
No, I painted everything three years ago, still perfect condition. However, The curved wide tanks on the bike ,I've been growing to dislike. So I purchased the original style 5 gallon tanks and have painted them to match. I just added a little black this time for different logo/emblems, but same stormy blue mica.....
The cool thing is, you can say that you did all the work. Not many people can say that anymore. It's 50 to 1 any longer. I know of only a handful of people that do mechanical work plus paint. It's a dying art. I live for it.
