When you turn the ignition switch to "on" you should hear the fuel pump winding up. If you turn it on and hear nothing, pull the seat off and look for the white in-line fuse there. That will be the fuel pump fuse. It may be blown. You could have a spare on your bike behind one of the side covers. They just pull off by hand.
The buzz you hear on the right side when you turn off the ignition switch is the throttle position sensor moving back in. That's normal.

Try to disconnect the fuel line form the tank. It is a QD so pull on the collar like you do an air hose. Remove and note if it seems to have presure, replace and try to cycle the ignition. If it had pressure the pump will not cycle. If you lost some in the fuel line R&R you should hear the pump when you cycle the ignition switch.
If you are not hearing the fuel pump prime when you first turn it on check the plug under the tank cover to see if it worked loose. Check all connections under there.
