1990 FSM 99483-90, stem on the left, turn it around and you will have rotor spacing issues

The exact same tread pattern will be mounted opposite...><... depending if it is mounted on the front or rear...gotta go by the arrow on the side wall.

On my 2015, there's only one and its mounted conveniently by the passenger pillion on the right side..

The statement made above about checking both wheel and tire installation specific to the model is by far the safest route...
28 years in the tire industry and having fitted every tire from golf carts to 992 Haul trucks has taught me a couple things :

if there's a wrong way to do it someone will find it and...

What appears obvious is not always the case concerning tread patterns and direction of rotation...

Arrows to indicate are pretty obvious but you'd be surprise how many times the sentence " this side facing out " appears on sidewalls in letters so small they'd be more properly used as an eye test for a super hero lol

My 09 Sporty has the rear tyre inlet of the left side. Took me 10 mins of pushng and moving the bike to realise it was not on the right...lol
