i had a plastic breather break when a valve spring broke, the pieces of the spring got into the breather and broke it. no way would i put a steel breather in my 85. i can't imagine the damage it would cause to the engine case if i had a steel breather in there.

Probably why they made them plastic, my original still looked perfect.

You never answered the question about your qualifications. That would be helpful information to those reading this and other threads in the future and wondering which "facts" to believe.

OOH! OOH!(holding hand up in the air like Arnold Horshack)

can I, can I tell you mine?

I had an Erector set, Lincoln logs, a hundred yards of Hotwheels tracks and built hundreds of Revell models,
used the Testors model cement in the orange tube too, not the non-toxic lemony smell wussy one in the blue tube.

Wow, now that I'm thinking about that, explains alot,
and Mom used those orange 2' lengths of Hotwheels track segments to whip our asses too,
wasn't our fault, we were probably jacked up on the damn glue.

The good ole days

carry on
