I've got a '96 Road King and couldn't be happier. It's the EFI system so I need to do a ecm upgrade to make any big changes I think but with you having a carb you'll be amazed. I did do away with the air ride front and back so you may have that to look into. Racetech front springs is the way to go.
The best part is you can pay for it and be done. Any money spent after that is upgrades.
Seats can be tricky but they can be modified. I have a nice 2 up Corbin with a back rest on mine now and it fits perfect.
Get the king and don't look back.

I appreciate all the info. Thanks to you and the others I am calling the guy tomorrow and gonna take a look at it. I am very excited to think I will have a RK again and a great one at that. Also, I found that there are mustang seats available specific to this model year so that is good.

Corbin also makes seats for them. I like mine but I could use another inch of legroom. Tired of the bars hitting my knees when I'm maneuvering in town or parking lots. Of course, taller bars would solve that too.
