I run the commander tire on my 93 flhs and they have been great

The forum needs a tire sticky.
I suspect most people won't notice much difference in most tires, but I think you're like me and want something that gives us that little bit of edge that can make all the difference when events don't go as expected, and tire mileage isn't high on our list.

I agree entirely. Ride comfort and quality starts at the road with our choice of tyres.

Be prepared for low miles... I think they have something else out or ready to come out...I got 5000 miles and they were at the cord...I was on a trip....

The E3's and American Elites on the other hand are good tires. I hear great things about Commander II's as well.
Just put my second set of American Elites narrow white stripe on my '10 RK. They have been a great tire, wears well and lets me play hard in the curves. I was going to go Commander II's before going to Sturgis in '14, but they had some manufacturing difficulties and the American Elites were offered as an equal. They seem to be in every way and I'll stick with them a long as they are available.
