So a quick introduction. I'm just another one of those guys that grew up on sports bikes but always wanted a harley, as I got older I knew it was time to slow down so the hunt began. I knew it had to be a springer because my uncle has a completely stock 92 fsxts that I would steal from time to time and I loved it. I was looking for a crossbones but happen to come across this 98 with only 4000 miles on it. I was a Lititle concerned about it sitting but I like to take things apart so figured why not. We settled on a price and when I went to pick it up he had all the stock parts to go with it. Here's a little before and after.
I have no idea what the name of the blue is. I wanted to paint it the same color but my paint guys matching machine was broke so I said just do it black for now. I still have the rear fender and will get the paint code one of these days. After doing a little research the bike was originally owned by one of the big Chevy dealers by me. He bought it, ripped all the stock parts off before putting any miles on it and it sat on the showroom floor. I'm thinking maybe it's a 1998 corvette blue but who knows lol. It was all just hear say.
I love Springers. I can get a 2006 Springer Softail for $12,500. With only 2k miles. Ive thought about it. But i think a brand new Fatboy would suite my needs better.
LOL,sorry dude, I was talking about the new paint. It doesn't look black on my phone, thought it was a really dark chocolate like root beer or similar. I'll keep staring at it until it turns black. looks good.
