Default Clutch Cable Adjuster?

I've just spent WAY too much time on this alone, now its time for help! Finally replaced my old vinyl clutch cable with a Barnett stainless. While I was at it also put in a Muller Power Clutch ramp and ball in the end cover. Adjusted clutch per instructions AND research and everything seemed fine. But now I cannot get the adjuster to stop moving. When I get the lock nut and barrel nut tight and lever play adjusted, everything continues to spin in either direction. I can twist both up or down at the same time. Where am I messing up? On the old Harley cable, when the locknut and barrel nut were tight, that was it, no more movement. Haven't dealt with after market cables before, and I figure I'm missing something. Something simple and obvious, I'm sure! My wife doesn't call me Gilligan for nothing!!

Are you sure you have the locknut on the correct end of the adjuster?
I only ask because I had the same problem once and I realized I had the locknut on the wrong side.

I actually thought that was an issue, too, but I zoomed a picture from the website to make sure it was ok! It seems to be right. There is absolutely no instructions from Barnett. You have to have done this before (I have) to know what's what. This adjuster is something I haven't dealt with yet. I just don't get it! I get it all tuned in, and the damn thing still turns!

If I were you I'd run it to the other side just to see what happens.
But that's just me.

Default Pics

I'm trying to upload pics. Don't mind cable ties, but OEM cable clips aren't available, and will need to order those after market.

You'll notice how the bottom barrel nut's flat has moved between the two pictures. This is with the locknut tight!

Default Never mind!!

Gilligan figured it out!!! It doesn't matter that the lock nut and barrel nut are spinning!! The cable's not being lengthened or shortened because it's locked down on the threads!!! No more Saturday night bike maintenance!!!!! The thing that threw me was that there is a nut on the top of the thread shaft that's part of the threaded shaft and it spins freely. It's not part of the cable that's clamped like on the HD! Anyway, anyone's that has a Barnett rather than a HD cable knows what I mean, I think!! And I thought the Muller adjustment was going to be the hard part-JEEZ!!!!!!
