Living in Southern California I normally wait for good weather, it's normally right around the corner.

You are riding an Evo, not a deep fried Twinkie. As long as you have oil in it and the carburetor is jetted and adjusted properly for your pipes, air cleaner, cam etc then it's fine.

At the end of a 60 mile ride two up in a 98 degree ambient temperature my oil temp reached a whopping 185 degrees today. I wish I ran as cool as the Evo does.

Taken my 65 Pan on several 100+ rides through Nevada on the way to Sturgis over the years. Biggest problem is keeping enough water in me. 60 wt HD oil get real thin in high temps but still performs as it should.

Best advise...just go and ride.

Sunscreen for the nose and face and long sleeves to keep the sweat on you so you don't dry out as fast. Lots of water/ Gatorade and just go.

Here in Aussy the temp normally gets well above 100F during summer and I'll ride my turbo Evo in this heat with no problems. My engine oil is just the normal Harley dealer 20/50wt

As long as the AFR is properly set you shouldn't have any issues. Every one needs to remember that a motor that runs a tad rich runs cooler....
