Should I keep em? Or should I start looking for something else? Whats all your opinions. They came with the bike (The one in my sig) They sound OK ,maybe something a little more throaty.
I installed the SuperTrapp slipons the second year I owned the bike. Overall, I have been happy with them. They don't discolor and the chromehas really held up well. One complaint: The tips are pricey. Trynot to damage them by backing into a curb.
You can 'adjust' the sound by adding or removing discs. The more discs, the more sound. SuperTrapp, IIRC, recommends that you install 8 discs as a 'starting' point. That couldbewhat is in yours. You won't know until you take'em out and count 'em. Hint: Use anti-seize on the machine screws when you re-install them.
There is a maximum of 24 discs that can be installed in the dresser exhaust, but you will need to purchase the longer machine screws in order to do this. I've got 18 discs installed on my 93 FLHS and I think it sounds good, without being obnoxiously loud.
That being said: I'll probably switch to a Thunderheader 2-1 system if anything ever happens to the exhaust. IMO, Thunderheader is THE exhaust for an EVO.
